Wasp Nest

With a slight tug of my rake, the empty nest floats to the ground. All that remains are crusts of wasp bodies in a tissue-thin, perfectly structured catacomb, an empty monument to duty and hard work.

shadows of stacked houses, flashing lights
fleeting thoughts about death
